Candy Returns in 2024
The Minneapolis-based cover band CANDY formed in 1997, starting a 12-year run that brought them around the Midwest, with stops at Twin Cities venues like the Viking Bar, the Varsity Theater, Lee’s Liquor Lounge, and 7th Street Entry. The band’s choice covers include radio favorites from the 1970s (with some ‘60s and a few outside that zone), such as “One Toke Over the Line,” “Big Yellow Taxi,” “Amie,” “Shambala,” “Tangled Up in Blue,” “Different Drum” and other gems.
After a 15-year hiatus, CANDY returns with dates in 2024. CANDY is Carla Tollefsrud (vocals), David Lauth (guitar/vocals), Jim Tollefsrud (drums/vocals), Linda Haus (bass), Pat Courtemanche (guitar/vocals), and Randy Webb (guitar/vocals).
